JUNE BARRETT
Carpets, Rugs, Textiles & Dolls
June Barrett worked at Woolley and Wallis for over 30 years, taking on
the cataloguing of carpets and rugs in the late 1970s. She was responsible
for the development of the department eventually enabling it to become,
with the addition of textiles, a specialist sale in its own right in 1997.
Dealing with four 600 lot sales per year, the Carpet department was considerably
strengthened by the arrival of Ian Bennett in 1999. In 2004 both moved
to Netherhampton where they continue to catalogue the only provincial
rug sale in Great Britain.
