 COVID-19 UPDATE 26TH MAY 2020

 

Market arrangements are under constant review both by the Government and ourselves

 

Livestock Markets can continue at the moment with

very strict rules.

 

Only recognised regular buyers who must register are allowed in the market, social distancing of 2 metres must be observed.

Vendors must ‘drop and go’ market staff to unload vehicles and collect paperwork which should be correct and complete.

 

PIGS SALES ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

 

SALES OF SOME BREEDING STOCK ARE NOW ALLOWED BUT YOU MUST CONTACT US FIRST BEFORE ENTERING INTO OUR SALES.

 

All other Southern Counties Auctioneers and Netherhampton Salerooms Sales and Events postponed or cancelled until futher notice.

 

Livestock Markets

Following teleconferences between the Livestock Auctioneers Association and DEFRA livestock markets remain open subject to the rules on the front cover and below.

 

 

  1. Restrict attendance to buyers, sellers and the public cannot attend.

Any person over the age of 70 is advised not to attend for their own safety and to take pressure off the health service.

Any person that is knowingly ill, showing symptoms of the virus, or has an underlying health issue must not attend.

Children cannot attend.

Any lady that is knowingly pregnant cannot attend.

 

  1. The Mart canteen should be closed.
  2. No other sales on the day, produce etc
  3. Protocols regarding the provision and use of handwashing facilities to be in place.

 

Livestock fieldsmen will no longer be available to visit farms.

 

Other Sales and Netherhampton Salerooms

ALL SALES CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

 

 

Probate and other Valuations – not available.

General advice and requirements :

Wash your hands with soap and water often-do this at least for 20 seconds.

Always wash your hands when you get home or into work.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.

Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards.

Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

Please do not:

Touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
