IMPORTANT NOTICE COVID-19

COVID-19 - UPDATE

DEFRA have emphasised that if we want Livestock Markets to continue we must keep those attending to a minimum and social distancing must be observed.

VENDORS

With the latest relaxation of the rules relating to Covid-19 announced including a reduction to the 2 metre rule we are pleased to announce that we will be pleased to welcome up to 2 members of the same household to enter the market to see their own stock sold. All people attending must register their details in the sales office on arrival. Ground floors of sale rings are reserved for regular buyers and we would ask that vendors use the top tier of seating and try to stay at least 2 metres apart if possible but definitely 1 metre apart unless you are from the same household.

In the sheep section please keep away from the pens being sold to enable the buyers to handle your sheep if required and give you the best price.

Please note these new rules will come into place from Monday 6th July.

We thank all vendors who have complied with the rules since lockdown and enabled us to continue to run a busy and successful market with less staff.

Please continue to deliver your stock in good time with all necessary paperwork completed and correct ear tags in place.

Sale results

Wherever possible please furnish us with your email address and we will send your results later in the day. Alternatively you can ring us on 01722 321215 after 3 pm. Please do not enter the sales office to get a printout unless it is empty. Please note we can pay by bank transfer if we have your details.

Preventative Measures

Do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in close contact with anyone who has symptoms.

Please observe social distancing at all times gloves are recommended and are available in the sales office if you forget them. Please sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the market. Wash your hands regularly with soap.
